alternator w/cali-spec emissions

My car has cali-spec emissions, does this make a difference in the type of alternator I should get? Autozone has a Duralast 125A alternator for non-cali spec maximas and a 110A alternator for cali-spec. I heard good things on this forum about the 125A one, and I'd rather get the higher amperage one, but the sales clerk told me it won't work in my car.

By the way, the 125A one is also $4 cheaper so I was a bit confused. Also, I live in Atlanta so I don't care if any new parts on my car makes it non-cali spec.
