Got into an accident :(.
Guys this sucks
. I was changing lanes during a stop light, and my lane was empty so I proceeded to go and this minivan hit my driver side fender. It's mostly a fender bender, just the fender is messed up, and my hubcap flew off too but then I drove around for a while and the tire is ok. We settled it out right there because the minivan didn't have much of any damage. But what should I do about my fender, should I have a body shop hammer it out and take off the scratches and all. Or should I have the whole fender replaced and repainted. I'm in Central NJ so please recommend some REALLY GOOD HIGH QUALITY FACTORY EQUIVALANT WORK body shops. I'm real **** about my car that's why. And by the way this sucks
. But oh well man **** happens.

Fender is bolt-on, perhaps you could try to get one froma junkyard with the same color and install it yourself.
I reckon the labor to rehape a fender, refinish it, etc would kill you in cost, you'll be almost better getting a junkyard part.
Haven't done body repair yet, so don't know if my thoughts have any validity. One thing though, replacing your fender would result in the fender panel having a different VIN label from the other panels.

As njmaxseltd will tell you, replacing the fender is the best way to go. That way you have no body filler to woory about. As for DIY bodywork, it is next to impossible. Bodywork is as much art as it is just bolting a new fender on. Finally, you'll never match the paint from a junk yard fender. There are two reasons for this. 1- that fender has probably sat in the sun and faded at a different rate than what is on the car. 2- even when brand new the same color can vary depending on what factory the car was made and even when it was made.
Sorry to hear about the wreck. Sounds like you saved your insurance rates by not reporting it.
