That one looks like it has a big opening like the JWT/stillen cone, it's 6" I think. Why do you want an APEX'i filter though, they filter like ****???

They apparently give more power
(1-3hp) but filtering is less than worthless...

I've searched and read so many apex threads.

Apparently there made of a micro cotton fiber not a paper like some use to believe (or so i read).
ALSO: these have proven to have a Deeper sound at all RPM's and about 5 hp all around. These Comparisons were with K&N filter.

the filter need some sort of SPECIAL adaptor , take a look at some pics of HOW they connect. its very strange.

and yes NO Maintence, YOU cannnot clean them bc of the material.
ALSO there a 30,000- 50,000mile filter like any but i was really just wanting the best.

I have read conflicting articles on the apexi filter. In one article, it filter the best and the other article, it filter not as good as the others. I forget on what other filters it was put up against but they were mainstream filters, K&N included.

Where did you see that 5hp gain over a K&N? Was it on a Maxima?

Yes it was on a Maxima , The 5hp gain was seen in comparison with the K&N.
So Like 5-10hp for K&N. + 5 for Apexi Filter.

Yes there have been many comparison, bc the APex is a Dry Filter which is unlike any other, Every other one needs the K&N oil and recharge kit.

The way ive read about comparing filters it this
Apexi
MonsterFLow vs. K&N battle
HKS

I just cant seem to find the adaptor?

He is probably thinking of Frankencar's dyno on a 5th gen. They claimed a gain of a few hp with the apexi.

The apexi filter, from all the comparisons I have seen, filters great. It is usually the best or second to best in most comparsion articles I have seen. It also yields great flow. I dramatically changed the sound of my intake when switching from a cheapo cone filter.

The apexi we use for the maxima's is the universal one. They do not make a maxima application. So etiher make your own adapter or get the frankencar adapter. A 3" MAF adapter will not work. The universal can be had for usually around $60 on ebay, but they are not rechargeable and are "recomended" to be replaced every 30K miles.

So MikeD______ Where did you get the adaptor?

ORG. I really believe that for the xtra 30 bones on an intake someof us Others should really consider this option.
Also: Too many thread sabout how good it is for the MAF. (bc its a Dry Filter System.)

No you can't get an adapter for the apexi filter anywhere else or for $10. You are thinking of a regular MAF adapter, which will not work with an apexi filter. You need a regular MAF adapter and their apexi filter adapter to make it work. Thier price is not that bad for what you get. All of their adapters are great quality, almost overkill.

Yes, I got my apxi filter and adapter from frankencar.

ah i want the best intake now that im changing filters.

I can afford it i just really dont wanna spend 120 on a kit, U can buy the filter itself for 60-70 bones but then the adaptor is like another 60 Bones for a piece of metal, just aint quite worth it when the new udp's cost like 120 too, its toss up i guess but i really want to find a adaptor for a cheap price.
