Foglights on 95-96 max

I've been looking through the forums, but I haven't had any luck finding a similar thread. On most SEs and GLEs from the 95/96 model year, there were foglights. However, on GXEs, some SEs and GLEs, there were plastic..rippled parts where the foglights would be. Is there any way to install foglights in these spots? Is it easy?

Sorry if there's already been a thread about this, but like I said, I couldn't find one. Thanks,

Gino

you can buy foglights for your 95-96 maxima even though you have those "ripples" what you need it some heavy duty cutting utensil to cut it out, new foglights and hardware (screws) as well as a new turn signal arm with the foglight switch on it.

Cut out those ripple things, held up by some sort of super holding material you should find a harness on each side with nothing attached to it...this is where your foglight gets its power from...simply screw in and mount foglight after said harnessing, and then change the turnsignal arm and you should have OEM foglights......someone please correct me if i am wrong.

Yep, just go buy a foglight kit for 95/96 and it'll come with everything you need. Your car is already wired for it so you just have to cut out the ripple (the hardest part for most people )

A new foglight kit should be around $200 or something like that. You can try and find it at a junk yard for much cheaper (also check the Classified section on these forums). You'll need the foglights, the mounting brackets, and the stalk.

Does the fog light kit come with something that would cover the crappy looking lines from the cutting out the rippled section? Like a molding or trim of some sort?

Mendon11, could you take some pictures of what the end product looks like.... I've seem them installed from a distance but never the up close look of exactly how it sits in there....

The rippled parts you are referring to are grids.

They come with black gaskets that wrap around the cut edges of the bumper. They will have to be trimmed to the perimeter of the hole you cut in the bumper.
