get it fixed now.of course it will stop leaking once it levels off with the differential seals, then all your whole gear sets will be unlubed

No you can't drive the car like that forever without major problems. As the bearings wear down the metal is going into your tranny. If it gets to the point of complete bearing failure it can totally ruin your tranny.

You can drive it that way for a long time, as long as you top off the trans oil level regularly. Not that hard to do.

Yhea, I am sure a few weeks would not be a problem. Even a few months would probably be OK. I just said you can't dirve like that indefinatelyn w/o major problems. The leak will get worse and worse, at one point I was leaking a quart every 200 miles or so. I drove a almost a year from the first time I saw the leak. Just keep the fluid full.

GL-4 (NOT gl-5) theres a large fill screw in front of the tranny near/under the battery that you use a 1/2" ratchet to unscrew, pour fluid in until fluid starts to overspill.

Hey guys, I just had 2 differential bearings replaced along with 2 seals, and also a speedometer sensor. They charged me $750 (Canadian dollars). Did I overpay?
