Question about knock sensors and 2 ECU codes ?
Im throwing two codes:
01 04 Vehicle Speed Sensor
03 02 EGR System Hi/Low Flow
Are these serious enough problems that I should have them checked into and fixed ?
When should the Knock sensors be replaced ? Every _______ how many miles ?
I hate these nagging problems but dont know much about cars and didnt know if I really needed to have the problems fixed. The car is in and out of the dealership. They even checked these codes but really said nothing about it. Any input will be appreciated. To my knowledge the knock sensors have never been replaced on the car, and im rolling up on 140,000 miles.
thanks !

Your vehicle speed sensor i what sends a signal for your speedometer to work. I your speedometer is working I don't think you have anything unless it is something else that is wrong and you should also try to clear the code off of the OBD system maybe it just needs to be cleared. If your knock sensor needs replacement it should give you a code if it doesn't than I also think you should forget about it.

yeah flash your ecu like he said, but if it comes back again...no it's not a serious problem, you can actually clean your egr valve. the code means that it is either running to freely or is too constricted. if it is running to freely it is most likely a loose connection to your egr, but if it is clogged(my guess is it's clogged) it just needs to be cleaned.
