Flowmaster on a Max???
Flowmaster on a Max???
OK I was thinking about getting a new muffler I need one.....I was thiunking about a Flowmaster...but what series? I don't want a loud exhuast maybe somehthing a lil deep....but not a FARTCAN! Whatcha y'all think?
Well, theres a few for you to choose out there. Ive heard a 60series, which is an import biased muffler. Sounds pretty good and is kinda quiet. Also, theres an 80-series, known as the camaro-style setup, which is only if you have dual exhuast. Ill soon be switching from my dynomax dual exhuast to the deeper sounding flowmaster 80-series muffler...
i have a fart can but it sounds really nice. Our V6's don't sound like john deere's so you shouls be alright. To see mine, check out www.cardomain.com/id/chpnemax. i just got new pics!
I used to have Flowmaster on my '92 SE few years ago and it very deep and loud, probably because it was destined for a Dodge Ram truck. My boss got it for his truck and never used it so it was sitting in the garage for awhile...until I layed my eyes on it. Cost me $60 + $20 for installation.
Here is a sound clip of mine before the Y pipe.

Hmm, since when did honda start making 3.0 civic motors?

i had a 40 series and a 60 series on my max with my budget y. liked the 40 better then the 60. but i got rid of all of them and got a magnaflow, which i like ALOT more. much deeper and more mean sounding.

Is it shaped like a fartcan? If so, i consider it a fart can, however, there may be some (depending on the rest of your exhaust setup) that sound alright. Most of them, no matter the rest of your setup, still get raspy at higher RPMs. Its the nature of straight-through designed mufflers...

I have the 40 series (delta flow) on my 97 and it sounds great, and looks stock... I got mine at www.racerpartswholesale.com for about $70 or so.

Just ask ErIcA. He has seen my car in person many times, and always gets oWnEd by the dualies.

Mine is from the cat to the back, with no resonator.

Your car has no torque.
OK I decided to go with the 60 Series Import Flowmaster.... Now it says it fits the OEM pipes right. Well here's my question...
If I'm getting a B-Pipe (that only fits STOCK mufflers) will I have any problems on the install? Oh yeah getting a high flow cat too, to replace that one I don't have...
Any one have any ideas????

are you doing it yourself? If your bringing it to a good shop that can weld well....they will have no problem at all. Exhaust is not as difficult as you think...kudos to the person who invented the arc welder
