axles axles axles

Okay, this is urking the hell out of me. For quite a while, I've been having an annoying grinding sound from the LF wheel. I recently (4+ months ago) I noticed that the outer boot was torn, so I said "That's IT!" and replaced it. I was happy to have figured it out cause I thought it was the rotor, so I replaced all 4 rotors and the noise was still there. Then in June or July, I finally replaced the axle, and do you know what happened when I left the shop? Same damn noise. I took it back immediately and had the shop manager drive it, cause I had decieded it was the axle. He immediately said it was the bearing. OK, I like the sound of that, expecially since it was only $150 to replace. This was great, cause I was sure that was it this time. There was one $130 snag in the middle of that install: The ABS sensor was rusted to sh*t and fell apart when it came out. No problem though, so I had that replaced too. That day, I get in the car at the shop (after fighting almost an hour of traffic in a busted-a$$ loaner NX2000) and start down the road. Guess what...1 mile down the road, it started again. HOLY SH*T!!! I called the shop immediately and said I was coming back. Finally, after almost a half hour of traffic to go one mile, I make an appointment for today to get it checked out thoroughly. Well, after a full check by one of, if not the best Nissan techs in the area, it's only a maybe. Maybe it's another bad axle. Ouch!! I went through hell getting the right one in the first place, cause the shop manager said that my car prob had LSD, and it didn't. We figured that out after the return time was up on the axle that I bought (which you can now find on ebay right here ). Dammit, it's just getting irritating. Anyway, I just wanted to vent my irritation after spitting out over $500-$600 to fix this little irritation.

Thank you for listening...uh, reading.
