another intake idea

how's about if we used this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2432685856
between the throttle body and midpipe... the only problem i see is that the maf MAY not get full pressure to get enough air passing it to keep the vacuum pressure... but other than that i think at WOT it would be real nice..... anyone else? (disclaimer : im bored and its 10:40 at night, nothin better to do!)

Like you said I think it would cause problems with the MAF...since all that extra air can get in without the MAF picking up the extra airflow.

Air is always gunna get sucked from that filter....therefore no pressure in rest of intake = maf problem...and no point to have the rest of the intake attached

you you put it before the MAF...so you get like a HAI with a CAI...but the cold air wouldnt suck in much air because the bypass would be the "path of least resistence"

Is this a Water Bypass Valve?

If so, who cares about a MAF messes up when the air bypasses it... its better than having a Hydrolocked engine.

The bypass valve should have a cracking pressure that would equal the amount of vacuum needed to pull less than 1 foot of water up the pipe.

I could be completely off the point of this post, but I haven't visited the forums in a few months... been a little busy lately.

if this is a quality product, the valve will not be open unless there is a big enough presure change (water being sucked into piping.)
