Slow Window Repair

My power windows seem sluggish. The way down is nice and fast but on the way up, they go at 1/2 the speed. I know its not normal because my dad has a maxima and his a definatly faster. I read that you should by a dry lubricant and spray the runners and it should fix it. Anyone ever do this before...just want to know before I give it a try!

Yes, try some silicone spray in the tracks. Sometimes this helps. Also, try looking at your rubber weatherstrip if it seems to be "off-track". I had this problem once, and my window would go up very slow. I took the door panel off, removed the whole window glass, re-positioned the rubber tracking, re-installed glass, and presto--worked like a charm! Window went up like it should. Hope this helpled any!

I've used a product called Pyroil Silicone Lubricant in an aerosol can that works fine. I had an accord with bad weather striping and this product would always fix the windows going out of the runners. I had to repeat treatment maybe monthly but I dont think your case is so bad.
