just wondering if anyone on here has ever had their odometer just stop working on them. If so what was the problem. Please any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Could be your vehicle speed sensor. I know this happened to my friend's Altima once. His speedometer would work on and off, and haulting the odometer at times! I'm not quite sure where the sensor is located, though, in the 4th gener's.
