auto transmission problem

I have a 97 with 99,000 with an automatic trans. It does not want to shift out of low easily until it is warmed up a few miles? any ideas?

When was the last time you did a full tuneup?

I never have replaced the plugs. Trans fluid was replaced at 90,000. All filters replaced regularly.

Try changing the plugs to NGK V-Power coppers. They're only like $12 for 6 of them. Coppers will last like 30k miles.

My car runs like crap too when it's cold. I drive to school cold and by the time I'm there, it's warmed up. Then I just shut it off.

i personally think its just because it isnt warmed up. my car shifts harder cold then warm too.

as a side note you shouldnt be running the engine too hard when it is cold(dont know if you do it or not) although its tempting and im guilty of it now and then, since the power seems so much better before the engine warms up.

good luck, ive already paid for a tranny rebuild, after a year of ownership and a vb mod
