Tranny fixed... Pick my Maxima up tomorrow!
#1
My tranny lasted 162,000 miles before it puked. It turns out that the gears and syncros are still in *great* shape. The bearings and other ancillary parts needed replaced, as well as the speedometer cable pinion, which broke off and got ground into a fine powder by the gears. Thank God the pinion is plastic and not metal, or the gears would have suffered *serious* damage. I'm picking up my car tomorrow, and I can't wait to drive it again.
Next mod: Cattman SS Y-pipe. (To be delivered next week.)
