Code 0304 (KS), 1003 and then 0503

Well, about 3 weeks ago my CEL came on, and I figured out I had the codes 0304 (KS) and 1003, which means something is wrong with the park/neutral position switch. The second is probably because my mechanic probably didn't properly hook up the switch after installing the new tranny.
However, I just checked my CEL again, and found in addition to those codes, I also have the 0503 code, which is the FR O2 sensor. I did some searching, and learned that the FR O2 sensor usually trips the 0304 code. Since the 0503 code came on after the 0304, does that mean that both are actually faulty?
I guess I'm just gonna have to let my mechanic look at it to be sure.........

I'm actually hoping my KS is bad, because my car just feels so damn slow.....but it could be me. I want some more powah!!

I think that means both are bad.

Well, if I remember correctly, the FR O2 sensor is located on the y-pipe right? If it is, then I replaced it only about 4 months ago when I had the y-pipe installed because we couldn't get the old O2 sensor off the stock y pipe. How could it go bad so fast?

I would agree with you, but I had the KS code for about 1-2 weeks before I got the O2 code. So I'm sorta confused now, especially since, if the FR O2 sensor is on the y pipe, I replaced it a few months ago. My mechanic doesn't disagree with me, but he can't think of a reason why the O2 sensor would set off the KS. Is there any real reason?

In that case, since you replaced it before, the KS ****ed up your O2 sensor. You're running rich(or lean) all the time because of the broken KS and you're messing up other sensors. The KS was probably messed up a long, long time ago. Mine has been messed up for at least a year and the code just popped up a week ago or so...

That's crazy man. How do you know it was messed up a year ago? I would hope I'm running rich, but does anybody have any other ideas?

when was the last time you had a good tune up? I was throwing O2 codes, changed my sparkplugs with NGK coppers and bam... no more O2 sensor codes....

It was a nice day to see 0505

When I bought the car about 6 months ago, I had a pretty good tuneup, but I don't think I had the plugs changed. I'll look into that. Thanks for the idea.
