On the sample Type II that I have, (not sure if yours is the same) the LED sticks out and is not mounted flush.

NONE of the original Type2 wings sold by Stillen had the LED sit 100% flush to the wing.

Good news! Prototype of the Type X spoiler is here and it fits great. The first batch of these is expected to arrive in about a month. The LED's (which are not pictured) are all clear. The "feet" line up perfectly, the screw holes are an exact copy off the Type II spoiler. That's the best I can say because after ripping off my spoiler I realized it was aftermarket. I don't know if the screw holes are the same as stock. You need to screw in the middle two feet. The one on the left does not have any screw holes and the one on the right has a hole to run the wiring for the LED.

looks awesome!!

i believe my spoiler which is only a replica of OEM has holes on all four "feet", plus an extra hole for the brake light wires. if i switch spoiler, would i have to plug up the extra holes since this X-type spoiler doesn't have the holes on the outer feet? would u include something to plug the holes?

you know that the outside posts are covering the holes up so you dont got to bondo or whatever to them. look at the pics. it looks like it goes right where my spoiler does.

just worried water may get in

*edit: another question, what's the length of the brake light? i know stillen's typeII is shorter than the stock light. the shorter brake light looks kinda funky to me

good question, i think i prefer it longer or same as stock...not sure how well it will look if shorter. The wing looks good @s h*ll Maxmojo, thanks for bringing new stuff to us man, u and ange...are something else

What price are we looking at for this? Anyone know how much the Type II was going for?

Cool, a month huh... That should give me pleanty of time to save up enough for one of these. I can't wait.

One question though: Didn't the original type II have a red LED bar? Not a huge deal, but it's just something to consider, as I'm probably not the only person who prefered it red. Maybe offer a replacement or something, but if not I''d just get it painted. As I see it, the clear LED would look really good on 95-96s with red/clears or anyone with altezza's, but for the guys like myself with a 97-99 and red/clears, the top our taillight is red, so it would just match a little better.

Thanks again for bringing new stuff to the community.

look real good! Just wondering about the outside 'feet', do they use the same plastic/rubber spacers as the stock SE uses, or do they just rest there in place?

I bought one...but...

I bought a type II wing back in '99, but the posts just didn't go down far enough in the center for some reason?? The fiberglass was also very pitted and would have required a lot of prep work. I was very disappointed; however Stillen gladly refunded my money-recognizing that there was a problem with that particular product. Lata.

Thanks guys!
Price - I need to see how much it costs to get them here. I was talking to 96shogunmax last night and explaining that I have always tried to get you guys the best prices possible so I will do the same with this. The type-II's are hard to find for under $400 these days. These will be about half I think. A little more than your average OEM replica but that is because they are being hand made, only 2-3 made a day.
I will measure and take pics of the LED bar today.
I will have a LIMITED supply of RED led's for those interested.. First come first serve.
It comes with some double sided foamy thing that I think are the spacers that Maxtank mentioned. It does not come w/ anyting to plug up the holes unfortunately but 96shogunmax is right, the feet do cover the holes, so some bondo might work to prevent rain from coming in.

I fitted the prototype onto my car last night and if you just stand it on there, it does look like there is a small gap, once screwed on (or a little pressure is applied), the gap is closed and looks perfect.

The surface is very smooth and LED bar is mounted flush w/ the spoiler now.
