Brake Light Staying on?? Please help.

My brake light stays on what does this mean. If its the same as a porshce, then it means that my abs isn't working but they are acting as regular brakes. if you know please help.

Yes that's correct. Did you just start on your car and the light came on? Are you working on your car? Did you turn it off and then turn it back on?

go under the hood and add more brake fluid. that should do the trick.

no the parking brake is all the way down, and the car is driving fine. i think i'll try the brake fluid. other than that i don't know.

Sometimes the parking brake will go down and not even engage but something is caught and so they ECU thinks that it is on. Try to pull it up and then put it back down, kind of quickly and see if the light goes off.

first things first, the ECU has no idea if the brakes are on or off.
Check the brake fluid level in the master cylinder resivour, if it is down a bit add some DOT 3 accepted brake fluid, the next thing you need to do is get your brakes checked. As the brake pads wear down and the caliper piston moves out it displaces fluid from the master cylinder resivour causing the level to go down, if the level of the master cylinder gets to low it will turn on the brake light on the dash

thanks for the help. now i went outside to take it to the local brake place so they could top off my fluid and the damn light went off. also i forgot to say that i moved my brake computer. it was in the way for my kickpanels that i built. couldn't get my speakers in there right so i moved it up in the dash about 6 inches. i made sure all my connections were fine before so thats no problem. but now the lights off.

thanks for your help.
