whats up with my clutch?

Hey I Got A 96 5 Speed. I Live In Minnesota Where It Is Hot In The Summer And Cold In The Winter. Its Starting To Get Cold Now And I Have Been Noticing That In The Morning When I Go To School My Clutch Pedal Is Really Touchy And It Engages The Second I Let Off The Pedal At All. Then When It Gets Warmer In The Afternoon It Goes Back To Engaging Like 1/4 The Way Up When I Let Off The Pedal. And This Morning I Pushed In The Clutch To Start It And When I Let Off The Pedal Stuck Down! I Have Recently Had The Clutch Changed About 9,000 Miles Ago. I Was Wondering If Anyone Has Had That Problem Before Or If Anyone Knows What The Problem Is. Every Morning I Have To Relearn How To Drive A Clutch Pretty Much. Its Bothering Me So Any Help Is Greatly Appreciated.-thanks

You may have a sticky cable or throw-out rod... but it sounds like you need to check your clutch fluid level. My GUESS is that the Master and slave cylinders are due to get replaced too. The weather up here is brutal on components like that.

Why did you capitalize all of your words? Is it a Minnesota thing?

Just curious...thought it was weird.

I'm having some serious issues with my clutch too. The clutch goes all the way down and won't let me engage the gears. I think it may be the fluid level. Just started acting up since it's been cold recently.

Check your master cylinder - if it's low or dry, might check for leaks.

It's either your master or slave cylinder. My friend has the same issue on his 240
