Found A New A32 Model Car!!! Some Sweet Parts!
I discovered that the nissan cefiro A32 was used as a doner to produce a renault sold in south korea! It has a few very interesting parts that may fit the maxima, including a different style tail light, red and clear, not the same style as usdm maximas or JDM cefiro....also, some cool interior parts....the interior door handles surround is in factory matching simulated wood, as is the clock surround and the dash cowl! I have seen the clock surround in cefiros but never the dash cowl! Also, it has a different grill although it looks like it might not fit the cefiro or max....Also, two different headlights are available, the 1 piece cefiros and a type different from JDM and USDM headlights....has a dip that cuts into the bumper....so bumper would be needed Is there any way to upload pics from my pc? Its left hand drive and starts at 10000 USD new in SK! If anyone here speaks korean let me know! Id like to get some of these parts!

ok I posted pics on my site....damn looks like you beat me too it! yeah its a renault-samsung sm5....has the interior the I30 SHOULD have had!
hey man you dont have to be sarcastic! Im doing my best to provide info I havent seen elsewhere....and if you click on the pic it will enlarge, albeit only slightly...besides I can see the dash fine....all I was pointing out was that the dash has factory wood parts that are on neither the maxima here nor JDM cefiro! And its not my fault the pic is small, email cardomain if you want something changed!
if you search, you'll find a thread about this from 10 months ago or so. people wanted to bring over the tails and other parts but then realized they're not the same size and body work would be needed to install them. they have a different engine in it but the car sure looks nice. one part i wanted was the center console cuz it has a cup holder (if i remember correctly) on the back of the center console instead of ash tray. i'd rather that than a place to put butts cuz i don't smoke or allow in my car. the parts were cheap but i don't think anyone of them directly swap with maxes.

maybe not with max's but what about I30's? Besides for exterior I like the cefiro better, I just want these interior parts! I hate the look of aftermarket wood kits...Id rather have all factory simulated wood....and this car has it all! Door surrounds, underdash cowl, larger, longer door trim, clock surround and center vent surround! Allit needs is the taiwan wood door trim w/leather....and a rear cur holder would be great!
maybe not to you or even others but it was to me! And I am sure there are others around who havent heard of this....by the way i found a site that sells interior parts for the SM5! They have a better central console...Ill post a pic on my site!

the 2000 cc motor i think ur referring to is the vq20de variant of the vq, they made three different sized engines with the vq, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0
the sr20det is the motor most known from the silvia in japan (240sx state side the less fortunate brother of the silvia that got the ka24 motor). it was also found in a FWD version in some other smaller car's, i can't remember which. Apparently the Samsung had the option of an sr20det, OR the pics that i did see were of a swap, but i doubt that it was a swap it looked so good
it definitely had the SR20DE option....also this car came in rwd only, even with the VQ engines! Also a 5 speed was available only with the SR18DE and SR20DE....not the VQ....I dont understand why nissan didnt keep the rwd for the USDM!

can u show me documentation that shows it was rwd? cuz i dont remember that, also i think it was the ca18de, not sr18
nope! at least according to my source it was def rwd with the sr series of engines! here it is:
http://www.autoindex.org/model.plt?no=1616&***=#
I know this has been debated before somewhere....but would it be possible to convert to rwd? I mean if there is a rwd model in asia than there are def parts that fit so would it just be a matter of sourcing an engine and tranny?

nothings impossible without money but its not an easy job at all, rwd requires a long rear drive shaft and that axle beam suspension would have to go lots and lots of work
