Transmission Problem?
Transmission Problem?
Starting about 10 days ago whenever I drive my car when the engine is cold or hasn't been driven in a couple hours, the car seems to have problems shifting gears. From gear to gear, the RPM will gradually increase all the way past 4000 RPM's and usually won't knock down unless I take my foot off the accelerator. After about 15 minutes of driving, the car seems to return to normal and has relatively no problems shifting between gears. I haven't checked my transmission fluid yet to see if it was low, etc. Anyone have any idea what this could be? It's a 1995 GLE by the way with no modifications or anything.
your throttle position will effect what rpm your tranny shifts at. at wot your tranny wont shift until redline. and i believe someone said that it only takes 35% throttle to reach 4k rpm.
on top of all this your car will feel funny until it warms up and all the fluids are circulating, especially when its cooler outside.
good luck
