jack placement...help!!!

Just a quick question...Where's the best place on a max, front or rear to place a hydraulic floor jack? Also, where's the best place for jackstands? I just picked up a jack and was lookin around and tapping to see what was solid, and I'm not finding many places that are solid and look like the jack won't slide right off. Help on this would be great, as I'd like to get my max up and tinker with the annoyingly loose exhaust pipes.

Keep in mind if you're looking for those exact points on the rear, they won't be the same beings as that is a third-gen.

The front is the same though. I've never put the rear up, so I can't suggest a point. Can you lift from the rear beam directly?

Yes. There is a bracket in the middle of the rear beam for that purpose.
