Ok, well if its new, its pretty normal, at least for my exedy, not 100% sure for OEM (if thats what you have). Mine stopped being stiff after about a coupla hundred miles, now, a coupla thousand later, its as stiff as stock...

yeah its an exedy....but the real reason i was worried was because i had this problem with an exedy (stage 1) then the clutch started slipping like hell after 4-5mos and nissan said something about the pressure plate heating up and causing the slippage, so i got another exedy put in (not by nissan)

i just dont want this problem to happen again. if i blow this clutch i will be ****ed

i dont remember my last exedy pedal being soft then stiff after several shifts....does anyone else experience this?

instead of replacing it with that POS exedy why didnt you just go with a ACT?

because it seems so many people have trouble with ACT and i really dont need an ACT or an EXEDY really....i just wanted something between act and oem and exedy was like $100 more expensive

thanks for that helpful reply

And your reasoning behoind callin a Exedy a POS is what exactly?!

Act and Exedy are of the same quality. the Exedy does have more clamping force as well. And its cheaper. People may be having problems with clutches because of their own doing. Either being installed wrong, defective product or poor breaking in are all factors...

Maybe your arent thinking of a Stage 1 organic kit, because if you are, you have no idea what your talking about

ACT uses a Exedy clutch.

As for failures, you forgot to mention that the ACT grabs too hard and ultimately destroys gears. If you run an ACT, granny shift. Anything more and your tranny is a timebomb.

I actually Have the exact same problem...New Clutch soft in the morning and then stiffer as the day goes by, its like so bad that the engagment point changes and at one point the clutch is just slipping as if the clutch was gone..... then i wait for an hour, and its back to soft like butter ?!?!?!?!?! WTF!!!! so now when it gets super stiff to the point of slipping I bleed it and then it works again?!?!?! weird isnt it?
