How do i test my knock sensor

I got my knock sensor , bought it off ebay, i rember someone sayin i could test it with an ohmmeter or somethin, can anyone explain to me how i could check if its good before i put it on my car.

Use an Ohm meter to measure the resistance between the pins and metal base, one pin at a time. One pin should read 0 ohm, the other one about 525K. Then the KS is most likely good. If the values are out of whack, e.g. 2,500K instead of 525K, then the KS is bad. I heard that some bad KS still gives a good resistance reading. The only way to tell for sure is to use it.

thanks bro, i just checked mines and the left pin gets 552 and the right one gets 0 , hopfully this gets ride of my code.

I already said this a million times, a bad KS will NOT always have bad resistance. My KS is ****ed and still reads 550k ohms...
