Nissan catalytic

I am looking to replace the stock catalytic with an aftermarket, since I am getting ready to install a Greddy Catback.

My question is does anyone know what the rear stock catalytic is made of in a 97 Maxima. Is it brick, ceramic, metal, etc?

I am looking at the ones on Warpspeedperformance.com, but the $100 seems too cheap, and the $175 too expensive. Also considering the Random. What is the best way to go and still pass emissions ?

I dont think its really worth it, you probably wont see much gains in your Hp and ive heard bad things about getting a aftermarket catalytic, but hey thats just me.

RT suck major *****. Carsound is good, supposedly(read sig). If your stock cat is still good just buy a test pipe and switch them when emissions come around...

so you say aftermarket cat's aren't that good? I was told you will not notice the best of the gains you recieve when you get a catback unless you also replace the cat with a high-flow cat. could anyone else comment on that?
