Deep Sound

Alright my car sounds like I have a full exhaust on it now. Very, very V8 like inside. I have also notice a little bit decrease in performance. I know I have a hole somewhere but my question is how much bigger does this hole get. What I mean is, would the hole get a lot bigger in a month or so?

if you drive alot of short trips when the car isnt warmed up then condensation is built up inside the pipes and the hole will spread. exhaust rusts from the inside out

Can this sound be caused by something else other than a hole?

Could be a bad/not very tight gasket interface between two pipes.
Bigger aftermarket pipes touching the chasis of the car and conducting noise into the car?
