Cruise Control 92mph+

Is it just me? or will our car not enable cruise control above 92 mph?

Yeah, I figured they didn't want people setting it at 110, and falling asleep at the wheel.

Is there a wire you can cut to get rid of the 30 limit and 90 limit (so it works below the min, and above the max)?

i doubt it, and its not safe to have it like that anyways, why would you want to cruise at <30mph?

Word, you don't really need anything below 35mph. I just posted this because I was tryin to back home from Charlotte faster, and I thought something might be wrong with the cc. Though I guess there's no need to maintain speeds above 90 any way.

technically if they thought like that, all cars would be limited to 75... but they dont. I know for my gxe that my top speed removal switch (effects vehicle speed sensor) doesnt allow me to cruise set above 90... i want to find a good trick for that, even though i dont use my cruise anyway

Driving through Iowa country roads at 100 mph feels like I'm walking after a while. Although I'm afraid to go any faster than that. I tried setting the cruise, it didn't work, so I had to keep my foot pressed on the pedal. In Iowa, if you don't drive fast, the monotonous scenery of corn and soybeans can really get to you. I'm kinda glad the cruise doesn't work at that speed though, that would be scary.

anyone who lives down here knows 101 north allows some intense speeding if u do it right. one huge stretch goes by the bay...one place i can exceed 130, and its FUN

We all, atleast occasionally, have long road trips to take. I've driven from Raleigh to Columbus about 5 times. Thats 20 hrs round trip! So a little cruise control is nice when you hit flat land Ohio.

Actually... after reading all these posts, I've come to realize that I definately don't want any car to have cc above 90mph. Think about all the idiot kids, old ladies, and other bad drivers that would be stupid enough to set their cc that fast.

75 is not the highest. In FL in sarasota the speed limit is 80 around where I have been, and cops don't pull you over unless your about 9 mph above that.

yeah, i've seen long stretchy highways and a drive by yourself going 110 seems slow. But cruising @ 110 shouldnt be too healthy for the car.

I crusied 80mph for about 3hrs once and it seemed slow.
