Mine keeps lighting every few months i pull the code reset the ECU and then its ok for a while. My car seems to be ruinning in pretty good condition and the light just came on again thats why I am asking.

you arent the first to tell me this. I am assuming that this is an issue with the my model. I do have a very minor idle issue every now and then seems to be more of a problem after longer rides.

Diagnostic Trouble Code 0703 points to a problem with the three-way Catalytic Converter.
The Cat is one of the principal components of the emissions control system. The Engine Control Module monitors the signals from the two front Oxygen Sensors and the one rear Oxygen Sensor. The signal frequency of each sensor indicates something about the condition of that sensor. A comparison of the frequency of the front sensors with the rear sensor indicates something about the condition of the Cat.
This malfunction was detected when the ratio of the signal frequency from the left bank front Oxygen Sensor to the signal frequency of the rear Oxygen Sensor exceeded a critical threshold value. This indicates that the Cat does not have enough oxygen storage capacity. Possible causes include ...
- Three-way catalyst
- Exhaust tube
- Intake air leaks
- Fuel injectors
- Spark plugs
- Ignition timing

guys thanks for replying, so does an oil change trigger the SEL?
I do realize if i pull the code and get an error other than old oil (or whatever they call if if there even is an error regarding oil) that it would obviously be the problem.
Here the origin of my question,
Car running just fine went out to eat with GF, start the car after we eat and my SEL light comes on so she says maybe u need to change ur oil. Im just asking you guys if the needed oil change would trigger the SEL, like if that is a possible error.
