Can I get a starter programmed into my OEM remote?

I want to get a remote starter but don't want another remote.
I already have lock/unlock/trunk/panic buttons and of course when holding down unlock the windows roll down. . . is there a way to program it so if say i hold lock it starts? or press lock/unlock/lock like on my gf's galant?
thanks,
Sam

No.

Just get an aftermarket remote starter that has the ability to use the stock features or something.

yes

I have a bulldog remote starter that one wire on is is for oem alarmes. you hook it up to a ground or hot output. You can use the parking lights on the oem unlock button. all you have to do is make that 12v's run into it 2 times. Like hitting the lock button twice.

Almost any remote start system can work off your factory remote.

Ask the installer to make the trigger for the remote starter look for two impulses of your electric door locks instead of it's remote signal. Most systems can easily be programmed like that, you just have to ask for it. I prefer to use the lock pulse over the unlock pulse. That way your car starts with it's doors locked. On my system, if I press my factory remote lock button twice at a one second or so interval, my remote start will activate and start the car. Two more inpulses will shut it back down. The rest works the same as any other remote start sytem. I can even activate valet mode by locking the car twice while it's running. Then I can get out and lock it with the factory remote and the car stays running. Love that tirck on hot summer days to keep the A/C on.
