OEM Struts or High performance?

My struts are shot all the way around (130k on 97 GXE). Is it worth replacing with something other than OEM struts if I don't want to mess with replacing the springs? I got a 5 speed GXE with the SE rims and no other mods on it. Thanks for the input.

i would say its worth while to get new struts, but if yours not touching the springs... i dont see much of a point. see what other people say, and try doing some searches and looking around

i dontknow howmuch stock shocks are from the dealer, but im positive they cost more then the 320-360 you would have to pay for agx's. and definately more than the 250 it would cost you for gr-2's. or tokicos. u can go with a autozone monroe strut and shock.. but i dont know how much those cost. but im sure dealer shocks will cost more. using the "performance shocks" will make your ride slightly firmer cause your car will oscillate less over a bump. it wont be any stiffer, just less floaty and boaty at the correct setting. i recommend it.

Tokico Blues are the best replacement for that OEM or better ride quality on a stock suspension setup.

Do not buy Monroe struts for your Maxima, they ride like crap!

GR2's will give you a much firmer then stock ride.
