Help! my car wont idle

I bought a 97 max 5 speed with 130K miles on it last Monday. It drove fine and idle fine till yesterday when I decided to take out the stock
intake and put in a home made pop charger. The stock filter was
very dirty. I took out the square resonator box, so all I have from
the throttle body is the accordeon coupler, the MAF, the adapter
and the K&N cone filter. I drille a hole in the K&N filter rubber base and put in temperature sensor. The 2 large hoses that were connected to
the square resonator box, I put in each a breather filter.
There is a smaller hose that I think goes from the square resonator to
underneath the TB, but it was hanging loose, so I left it hangin loose.
I clean out the TB in while I had the intake out, I stuck a small
wire down the small hole right underneath the butterfly plate so
make sure nothing is plugging the hole. I took out the IACV and
clean it and also clean the TPS in the process. NOw when I started up the car, it idles for
5 seconds at 1500 rpm and the rpm starts dropping, so I rev the car up
a few times and as soon as I let go of the gas pedal the RPM drops
quickly to 0 and the cars stall. The car keeps doing that now and it refuses to idle. I have not reset the ECU yet. Does
anyone know what could be the problem?

It's probably the way you have it set up since you took out the resonator. Get a midpipe to put all the hoses into (look at the pipe thing near the bottom right of the pic http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2436768460) including that little one that I think you left hanging loose.

Good Luck!

the hose that goes the IAC vavle(hose that went towards firewall) needs to be connected to hte intake, look in my sig for hte 4th gen how to and look for how to make a midpipe.
