z3 fenders

I installed my z3 fenders and the line between the hood and fenders is rather tight. I tried pulling the fender out to get a more of a gap... did anyone else have this problem/ or a solution to get a even line and cap of a centimeter or so?

thanks jeff

A centimeter, that is a huge gap. I'd rather have less...

It's almost 1/2". The gap should be maybe 1/4" or less, I have gaps about the size of a pencil tip. Also if the hood is spaced out evenly all around and you have very little gap then the fenders have bad fittment..
