Spacers in the rear for a more muscular look?

I was wondering if its possible to install spacers to the stock 1997-1999 16 inch SE wheels on my 1997 Maxima. I think it would look alot better if the rear wheels came out more and were not so much in the fender. Is this even possible? And if so, what would it do to the handling characteristics of the car?

-Thanks
Dave

you could do it, the effects on handling would be negligeble, but id recommend some sort of centering rings for the spacers because they'll through the balance off a little bit without them

Yea, all depends on the offset of your wheels. You could do spacers, but like NISMOS14 says, be sure to get the centering rings for the balance. I believe H&R makes spacers for the 4th gen, just not sure where to buy, maybe Tirerack.com

www.optauto.com has good prices on H&R spacer kits. 15mm is $125, I think.

I have been told that putting spacers on just the front or just the rear will cause handeling problems.....don't know for sure but I can see how it might change the charectoristics of the handleing...
