Has anyone replaced there engine coolant temp sensor? if so what symptoms occurred due to you replacing it? also can anybody tell me how much one of those might run at a parts house or if necessary at the Nissan dealership?

 

my car used to randomly shut off every now n then. sensor was around $30 at dealership, or something like that, was a while ago so i forget. do a search if you want to read lots of threads about this. goodluck

 

Exactly. Same thing happened to me. Car would randomly shut off. Takes about 15 minutes to change and $30 is still the price at Nissan Dealerships.

 

I had this as well. But, I eventually got the codes for the ECTS too.

Oh boy, this was the post I was looking for. My random shutoff problem and Bad O2 readings were both attributed to then bad engine coolant temp sensor. I'm having this replaced the day after next. Dealers arent open on sunday
