Ignition Coil

What type of ignition coil is used on a 4th Gen maxima 2ltr? How do I tell which coil is gone?

You have to order them from Nissan anyways if your car is less than 4-5 yrs old. But you can try testing your coils with a voltohmeter, set it to 10K ohms, and take out a coil. There are three prongs, test the two outer ones to make sure reading is still "1" and then test an outer one against the middle one (I don't think it matters which outer one, but you can do both to be on the safe side) and see what reading you get from testing the middle one and an outer one. There should be continuity in that it will be greater than "1", Mine were at anywhere between 15 - 17 ohms. Hope this helps. Note: this test may not conclusively eliminate your coils as the problem, but if you get a low # then it is probably that coil.
