HELP - Steering Knuckle Removal

I'm doing my front drivers side axle and from all the writeups on it I figured the large 36mm center nut was going to be the hardest thing to remove. Well, using an impact gun that thing zipped off like cotton candy. I guess I celebrated too soon because I can't for the life of me get the two nuts/bolts that hold the steering knuckle on to budge. I hit them with penetrating oil a couple of times over the last few hours and nothing (this is with an impact gun).

Has anyone else had trouble getting them to give? Any advice?? I searched the database and I don't see anyone else having problems.

'95 SE Automatic by the way.
Thanks.
Chris

I didnt remove the steering knuckle, I removed the strut/spring. The knuckle pivoted enough for me to pull the axle out of the hub.
