i am not sure if i even have a knock sensor :(

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....t=knock+sensor

How is the knock sensor at that post so noticable? I can't even see anything that's somewhat similar to that. I have a 95 se by the way. I checked my brother's 95 max too, same thing.

I took a pic of the valley with my digital camera today. I am not sure if what i took a pic of is the knock sensor, and i am really confused on the diconnecting wires part. I DON"T KNOW HOW TO POST PICs though. Also, in motorvate.ca, that knock sensor is so easy to see. How come? Did the person move it, then take a pic? Thanks guys, i am starting to get stressed out on this thing. Thanks again.

By the way, motorvate says to disconnect some wiring, but some skippynet site says to not. Which site is better to do it from? Thanks. I asked my dealership how much was it for just a REPLACEMENT, and they said $800! They said they would have to take the entire manifold off, and it will take 8 hours to do, YEAH RIGHT!

I can't see mine either. He stuck his camera in there and turned on the flash that's why it looks so clear...

It's definitely in there. Take a small flashlight & shine it in the valley - you should be able to see it looking down & from the driver's side of the engine bay at the correct angle.

You should be able to see it if you have a 95. The only guys I've heard of that have not been able to see it are 99 Cali-specs. They have a bunch of garbage in the way for emissions that makes seeing it and replacing it easily impossible. I have a 99 Cali-spec.

You need to have a webpage/site (ie: www.cardomain.com) to host your image, or someone who is willing to host it for you on their site.

See: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=218252 !

have you tried locating it in daylight?

Just follow the black wire loom that travels underneath the intake manifold. Theres only one wire that follows that path.

Would anyonemind putting it at their site? I took it with my digital camera, and it is VERY VERY detailed, you can see everything in the valley. You can even see all the wires and stuff, but i am not sure if the knock sensor is there...
