noises...noobie

Hello, my Max is making a squealing, churping noise. Sounds like its a belt, Its not really loud but I can still hear it. Anyone know which belt it can be? Is it hard to change belts? The car has 81k miles and im not sure if any belts have ever been replaced. This is my first car so I dont know too much. Thanks.

Could be that your power steering fluid is low. Might wanna check it.

Sorry about that. I can hear the squealing, churping noise at idel, when I start going I can still hear it but its a little louder, Im not sure what it is but it seems like its some type of belt. The power steering fluid it at the normal level.

I had that same annoying, embarassing, noise on my old MX-6. Sounds to me it might be one of two things or both. Check your alternator belt and make sure it is not to loose. While your at it, it might be a good idea to have your alternator checked out in general. I tightened the belt on the alternator and the noise went away.
