redding out my tails on a 95 se...

what is the best way to red out my tails my car? i already did the tint thing using red translucent vinyl tape but i think i need to do another layer on my ambers cause they are only orange instead of amber now....however, when my blinkers go on, they are red light now which is nice! but they don't match my other red tail lights....should i do another layer or use some kind of marker or paint???? do they make a translucent paint or marker that will bind to the tails or the vinyl tape i have on there?

P.S. don't start flaming....cause i don't have money for red/clears yet and heard doing them yourself messes them up badly! even if i did have the money, i'd rather spend it on performance stuff! in either case, this mod mentioned above cost me only $5 to do...
