6th gen v6 accord coupe

Well, guess I'll join the 'weekend race thread ppl' or whatever, but this is more inquisitive than anything.

At a red light (left lane, two lane traffic) and see headlights coming from behind (right lane). Light turns green, the car goes hard from a roll and I punch it from a stop. It's a 98-02 v6 accord coupe. he's already got a head on me, and I can't pick up the slack. I finally start to pull in 4th, but red light ahead and were already going close to a hundred.

Next light, accord already there and revved up, and I'm right behind. Light turns green and he takes off, just as I stop and put it in first, and take off. I'm a car length behind him all the way until 3rd, when I finally gave in and let up. Again couldn't make up the slack, and didn't want to go WAY too fast in that area.

I didn't think I could take a newer v6 accord coupe, but I was suprised to keep up so well (im bonestock+cai)

Not sure of what he had, but it was a rich-neighborhood in beaverton where all the kids have tons of money. I see tons of boosted/etc kids up there, so i'm not sure what he had under the hood.. although if I'm not mistaken, he should have had me stock. Not for sure tho, input welcome.
