Your asking for everyones opinion. Heres my spill, what do you really want?
why do you want a LSD?
will it benefit you in the way you drive?
550 plus shipping is good. The difference is a $400 price difference. The reg 2K tranny will run you quite a bit more if you do it separately. Assumption you get the LSD for $600, plus about $185 in parts. Yes parts. You will need two new bearings, shims and the speedo gear ring. The tab looks like $1200 plus. Of course you will have a new tranny. But if you dont want to go thru the trouble and patience awaiting shims because you do have to shim the tranny then get the $900 LSD tranny. So assumption that you bring up the LSD so freaking much get the already LSD tranny. I went to autozone for you already, they have the axle in stock. The only store here in Ga that has one. It will cost you $59.00.

get lsd right away. If you are so bent on wanting it, get it done right the first time. Me, i dont give a dam about LSD even though its conveni....hmmm, luckee, u know my dilemma
