Dash Clock Problem

This has been a problem ever since I bought my 97 max. While I used this problem as a way to lessen the price, it is starting to annoy me. It is normally off but in hot weather it comes on only to go away later. What is the source of this problem. If it is a broken clock where is the best place to get a replacement?

I have the same problem. It bugs the crap out of me.I posted for one here in the classified section but got no response and car-parts.com doesn't list one.I guess i'll try local junk yards.
