People say it's not complete - but they don't say what it's missing.

Did a search - didn't find much.

So what is it?

pretty shure you need harlan, dawes/GM, vac can, all wires, hoses, and everything electrical/vacuum related, ect..

I think they only sell you the manifold, cover, butterfly with hardware, actuator and gasket.

OK.

Everything I've heard points towards other things....but it just looks like the Cover (or so I've heard from others) and Install Kit is all that's missing.

Interesting.

Don't get the harlan, just a warning. Get a switch from summit racing...

That's the funny thing.

I've sold Harlans with my kits and not one of the people I've sold to has had problems.

Only the ones Cranman sold.

bad batch maybe?

iansw, do you sell a relay with your kits as well? Cranman's kits didn't have a relay and I think this caused to much current to be drawn through the harlan. Of course if your kit doesn't have a relay than that doesn't explain it.

Also, my MEVI from courtesy came with the decorative cover.
MAKE SURE YOU USE RED LOCTITE ON BUTTERFLY valves. I should be done with my engine rebuild by thanksgiving. Only took me six months

Well - I guess that would be a selling point if I kept selling them - I assemble them for you and I get jiggy with the loctite red always.

Anyway - yeah - I always send a relay with my kit. Whether or not someone uses it is up to them.

My harlan got fried, but that "may" have been my fault. I was using a relay and I had a led inside the car to light up when it was activated. I ordered the summit one, should be here in a couple of days.

I have 3 Harlans running on my car, and 2 of them have been on for about a year and a half. The Harlans are all running with relays, but I still believe they can be run without relays as well.

Regarding Courtesy, you can get every mechanical part except the electrical/vacuum stuff (Rpm Switch,Solenoid, lines, etc.). You could buy parts off a 3rd gen VE, but it's very expensive.
