Of course there are but do you want to pay for them. You can probably get a sequential gear box built for you but do you want to spend the $10k, being VERY VERY conservative on the price. Someone put a 6spd in a 4th gen, I've yet to see it, but he didn't like the gear ratios on the 6spd...

well i speak from experience. i dunno about how many experience mechanics there are in your area that can properly rebuild a tranny. But mine went about 3,000 miles ago, i brought a brand new OEm tranny. 2400 dollars. but ther aren't any high performace ones unless you rebuild it and heat treat or harden gears to be stronger i belive some .org peopel have done somthing liek this?
my buddy had a tranny rebuilt on his 97 5sopd and went in 3 days cause the mechanic didn't know wtf he was probally doing. and also i'd look into getting one off a low mile crashed vechile, or junk yard. one thats still mounted to car so you cantry your chances for one under about 70,000K.
hope this helps yuo decide, my option was going for OEm, there was crap in my area adn no luck searching needed it ASAP aslo. im still thinking about shooting my self in head because i didn't get a brand new VLSD instead?? duh?

VLSD, thast the tranny that infinite I30's come with. they are limited slip deferntials. basically its a posie front end, which means both tires would always spin if you do a smoke show. you know what im saying. i would assume its also beter for off the line on teh track. better traction?
NOTE** VLSD trannys have different axles, you would need to change the ones you have now with the infinite axles. No biggy if your axles need replacing anyway. thats the only different part you'd need along withthis tranny.
and i had mine installed by my brother no charge, hes a mechanic. also when you replacing your transmission, you might wanna resurface your flywheel, and/if you wanna spend the money on a light weight flywheel, also check your clutch if it needs replacing. aswell as your axles.
NOTE*** when replacing your tranny, 1st thing you might wanna check when your old one is out is, your speedo transmission sensor. cause usually, LIKE me, it might be a pain in the a$$ to pull out the old one, so just check withy uor local nissan dealer for one, and/if not order it.
Hope this helps. I spent well over $3500 for all my parts with a very HIGH discount at NAPA for everything but tranny and sensor. This is not including LABOR which would be anotehr maybe 500+

If you go with lsd, you need to swap axles, and other things, its a pia, and unless you have someone that knows what there doing with shims, dont bother. As far as rebuilding, do a search on here for prcarparts.com or something like that, they ship and are cheap. its like a organization of junk yards. If you get rebuilt will run you about 1500, including a warranty. i know this because my car is at the shop now, i am hoping to get it back tomorrow. while your in there u should do a clutch, and flywheel.
