Last night i had one of the worst close calls ever...

Some friends and i, including sparkymax96, went to a local sonic for some ice cream and were on our way to a local high school here i san antonio to shoot some hoops. n.e.way... we pull up to a stop lightand a celica pulls up next to us. i look over and the person reving me is a chick. at first i didn't want to race because i had 4 people in the car...one of which is an ex-football player that weighs a little over 4 bills, but she kept reving and taughting me. so we take off and i have her instantly. with in moments we are doing at least 80 on the street. as we neared an intersection i knew i had one so i let off...she goes flying past me and then flashes her hazards as if she had one.

i'm like wtf, so i'm about to take off after her until something tells me that i should not...you know that little tingle you get way down deep that says NOOO. she then changes lanes in front of me so i decide to change lanes to get away from her. no sooner than i do that i see flashing lights come up behind us...my heart stops but the cop goes after her and pulls her over. we ducked into a neighborhood pretty quick and made our way using back streets to the high school. Usually if a cop catches you racing here in sa, they will go over the loud speaker telling you that they have your license plate and for both cars to pull over, but that didn't happen. I'm in the clear.

It was awesome. I didn't see the cop at all and i usually have a good eye to spot them and especially some of the people with me have even better eyes for them but none of us saw him. I don't know if he actually saw the race, just saw her put her flashers on, or he figured that the other car in the race was long gone and it couldn't be the four-door grocery getter next to her...whatever the case...i didn't get a ticket and that is all that matters. And i think i need to cool it for at least uhhh a couple of days.

 

man, having cops around me gets me very nervious even when I know Im not doing anthing wrong- except not having front plated and having more neons than Las Vegas.

I live on NE side of town off of thousand oaks and wetmore right behind the airport. I had the race on Nacogdoches which is close to my buddies house. The high school we went to was Madison, if that helps you with the location.

 

I had a similiar experience. I was racing a Mustang LX 5.0 and we took off at a light. The Mustang, being the muscle car it is, attracted a lot of attention and I found a cop behind us. I got into a turn lane to turn into a shopping center, and the Mustang kept on cruising. Luckily the cop went for the Stang, and I continued on my way. I wonder if I could still pull that off with my extra mods and centercaps that say "Racing" on them It's experiences like these that make you more discretionary to street racing.

Hey i know that it is kindda rainy right now but people usually meet in the Wal Mart parking lot at the end of Nacogdoches. I may swing by there tonight around 9 or so. If you can swing by...I'll be the one in the Silver Max.
