Bad Cold Starts..Help

whenever i leave my car over night in cold weathers and start it in the morning theres a crank noise that i hear rite after i start the car..and then it goes away..it doesnt sound very healthy..does anyone know what this can be?? my engine still runs fine...

and to be more specific when u try to start your car when its already started theres a noise from the started like cranking..thats how it almostt sounds like..

It's probably to the timing chain tensioner.
I get the same sound.

The grease in the Maxima starter tends to dry out and the bendix gear keeps the starter engauged to long after your engine starts. Your engine free spins the starter for a second.

It's actually an easy DIY repair. Go to this web site and look up the starter repair. www.motorvate.ca
