i recomend another one from the factory...because you need the connectors that will work with the specific temp sensors and stuff.

holy christ, both of you, shhhh (kyle you are a newbie and an a$$) get the fans quick, but that still wouldnt explain all the overheating. you do A LOT of city driving? at freeway speeds, the fans dont do much.

kingpin4, how do you know you need new cooling fans? Dothey not run?

Thermostat, clogged radiator, water pump, collapsed hoses, poor performing fan motor, broken fan blades, so many factors that could come in to play.

If your fans work, a radiator flush might be in order if it's never been done.

Why don't you go to the junkyard and buy a set of fans? Try to work a deal out where you tell them the year you have and if they have a different year, you'll buy it first to see if it will fit.

How did you end up having a car with no fans?

someone stole them! i dont know who this harold character is, but i dont understand why someone wanted my cooling fans. as of right now i am not driving it. i looked on ebay and found fans for $125 plus $35 shipping. every junkyard i got to doesnt have my generation maxima, and thats why i am hoping the older fans will work in my car.

There's always a first for everything ... stealing radiator fans is now a plausible theft.

Did they just remove the fan motors, or the complete plastic shroud assembly?

Autozone has brand new Siemens dual fan assemblies for $199.99 with limited lifetime warranty. You get a new part, and you can take it back if it's the wrong one.

Guy on ebay is parting out his car here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2441841724

There are two motor fans, probably three or four wires per fan. He'll have fun splicing the wires up, then shrinkwrapping it.

If he does it at the shop, I'm sure they'll know what to do but I can't imagine it'll be cheap.
