Trying to figure out whats going on. Tried searching, couldn't really come up with anything. Car doesn't start smoothly. It cranks a few times before it catches. Sometimes it makes a knock, or chokes. Never starts on first crank like it used to. Doesn't matter if the car is cold or warm. I changed the oil and fuel filter, and coolant temperature sensor within the past month. My car is a 5spd. Battery is fairly new and definitely isn't the problem. Starter seems fine, never gave me a problem. Car drives fine, power is there, idle is smoooth, basically everything functions as normal except the starting. I do get poor gas milage - round 200-240 per tank but I do like to step on it and most driving is city. What could cause these hard starts?

my car just started to do the same thing. most of the time when the car is hot then i go shut it off, when i come back to start it it does it.

never had this problem before.
