A corrupt maxima owner

I sure hope he uses that for drifting.

Is the maxima turning into a rice burner?

Depends on who's modding it, you can make it look lime a ricer or look good and classy, if that's possible.

I don't see anything wrong with it. I personally do not like wings--what a mistake to put them on SE's from what, 89-03? What a waste on Nissan's part, totally non-functional, all show and no go. This one is probably functional.

His car is no more rice than other Maximas where the tail lamps, headlamps, or markers have been modified.

Do I like it? No. Is it rice? No.

^ Actually, I don't see how its functional, as it would be pusing the rear end down, thus taking weight off the drive wheels, that is definatly a bad thing.

Are you actually saying aerodynamics differs for FWD vs. RWD? Well, you're the engineer, not me.

i dont think that wing and the stock wing can be compared, you can have a rear spoiler and it doesnt look flashy at all, just completes the car.

i hate those wings, might as well have a 6 inch trash can muffler to go with those aerodynamics.

I agree that wing is really up there. It takes away from the aspect of the maxima. A 4-dr sedan that has *****.
That wing just doesn't look right...

aluminum wings are ridiculous for daily drivers. its like having an erector set on the back of your car. theres no function of a wing when you go tops city: 60mph and freeway: 80-90mph. well if you go faster than that or do some serious track racing i can see that, but to have maximum grip on the road the front end should be considerably lower than the rear to obtain that traction with those splitters or whatever. aluminum wings only belong to JGTC or some other racing circuits... when theres an actual NEED for maximum downforce at high speeds. look at the HKS Altezza: that things got some mad downforce and its desperately needed. thats my personal opinion. and i think its ridiculous. its like you wanna fly or somethin... its rice. not technically but in general. ricers are the epitome of the import scene. no offense but seriuosly, show some respect to the serious ones out there.

i think you got it wrong.. unless you mean it like those type r stickers on a stock car that gives you 50hp... but its function isnt power to the wheels when your not even moving.

Adding a "snow shovel" wing is one of the first steps in becoming a ricer. It's like their initiation.

repost....i posted this a few days back in OT.

but i think it's a little too much for a max. you can clearly see from the background that these are ricey honduh boys that stole the max, put the wing on, and snapped a pic so members on the .org wouldn't make fun of them....now they'll post this pic on the honda forum and make fun of the max.

rice is rice. dont ever let anyone say that it is anything else.

and if he does like it, he needs to atleast put some racing stickers or something on it so that people think he might race it as opposed to be mentally retarded.

I know where exactly that shop is...The shop owner is an awesome guy ,and really knows his work. I would have no fear to let him work on my car. About the wing, there is nothing wrong to put it on,if he or she , the owner is happy with it. There are so many ugly things out there that people do ,just to attract someones attention. Did he get yours and mine ?...Yes ,he did.

I agree with you. If the owner likes his car, that's all that matters. Some people modify their lenses, headlamps, seats, put body kits. All on 4th gens that retail for 8k at most. How is that not tacky? It is, but again, as long as the owner likes it.

it was in bad taste not to blur out his license plate...

Regardless of whether you agree with what he's decided to do to HIS car or not, it is HIS car, let him make himself happy.

I remeber an article in some car mag, or some other mag, where a reader asked about the connection between actual racecars having wings, and the average FWD car having a wing. For an answer, the mag asked someone a Wings west, and the rep was forced to admit that these wings have no real importance, other than to make the car look "better". I laughed my **** off for like 3 days after hearing him say that.

Guess you like guns in CT. It amazes me how judgemental people are, how original it is to follow the pack mentality. I guess everybody should take their $8000 Maxima and put a cold intake, clears, tails, side markers, body kit, HID kit that looks like s*** and doesn't even aim properly, and be cool. Whatever. This thread imho shows the worst of the forum. Threads that have info on how to keep the Max running show the best.
