Door trim/molding

I was just wondering if anyone has taken off their molding off that runs the length of the car. I didnt know if this looked good, or gave the car a dull shape... also if anyone did, was can you tell where it used to be>?

it leaves holes and makes the door look plain even if it's painted. a few members have done it but i wouldn't recomend it. if you're gonna shave something, shave the antenna or trunk key hole. hope that helps answer your question.

there are holes and there is a dip where the moulding was. You can definetly tell where it used to be.
