I was listening to my 2pac cd and then it started kinda skipping and then eckoing kinda... now it doesnt read any cd i put in there....

I really wana keep my stock bose in there....and maybe some of you have encountered this prob.... PLEASE HELP!!! hehe

I thought maybe the lense was just dirty....

ANY IDEAS ARE VERY MUCH APPRECIATED....

 

I have a problem similar to this...

My Bose seems to scratch perfectly good cd's...I was wondering if there was a way to clean it all out before I buy a whole new HU.

 

i just went to wal mart and bought a "Phillips cleaning system" lol it was like 12 bucks and has a cd to clean your cd player...(along with dvd players...kewl for my lapton)

It also plays relaxing music while it cleans lol...kinda

for 12 bucks i got the cd cleaner also (fixes scratched cds) you can just pay 8 bucks for the cd player cleaner if you want lol

Unfortunatly it didnt do the job, i think its a goner

it werked on my xbox, ps2, sterio, and laptop, but it wont ever read anything i put in there for my max...

 

This happened to me when i had my stock headunit. My local nissan dealer hooked me up with a new one even though i was 4 months out of warranty. It would have costed me $600 at cost. From what i've been hearing this is a common problem w/ 4th gen CD players. My advice to you is to get an aftermarket Alpine or go check out e-bay for one.
