What the F is in the A-pillar that rattles?

So there is something at rattles and makes noise in the A-pillar, is there a wire harness that gets loose?

How hard is it to take off the pillar cover and fasten whatever is back there?

You can pull the cover off easily. Just start at thetop and tug it gently until it starts to pop off.

I stuffed old rags in there. I tore small pieces off and pushed them in with a panel removal tool, I used a butter knife once. Worked for me A pillars are nice and quiet now, no matter how hard I take a corner.

I get the rattle in the A-pillar too but can only hear it over rough roads. The bigger problem for me is some loose bolt or something in both my front doors. Sounds like a loose screw or metallic object that vibrates everytime i blast the stereo or when i drive over bumps. I'm pretty sure others experience this as well. My friend's max does this too.

For the doors use Dynamat Extreme. For the A pillars use rags, trust me it works. The pillars on my Max are nice and tight now. I had over 1,000 watts RMS of amplifier power and the rattles drove me nuts(700 of those watts were for my sub), so I used Dynamat in the front doors and trunk, and rags in odd places, like the A pillars. The A pillars would make noises when I made sharp turns as well as when the music was on loud, not anymore though.

Now I just have to figure out where I am getting some more squeaks since I lowered my car. I have two from the trunk area and I can't find thier origin.

That used to annoy the s*** out of me. It's easy to pop off--it kinda snaps off really hard. You think you're gonna break it but it doesn't break. I initially just put a little WD40 on the lower edge of it and it went away but the car stunk. So next time I used vegetable oil. Eventually the rattling just came back so I learned to live with it. On my car it only seems to be the right side. My b-pillar on the right also squeaks. With all this goin on in a car from Japan, can you imagine one from Mississippi or Tennessee? My friend's Sentra is pretty bad, model year is 2k1.

it's the wires in there that are rattling. get some foam and stuff it between the wires and the a pillar (not the plastic cover).
Or just tape the wires down from top to bottom to the pillar.
I ran my radar detector line down that way and zip tied everything really taut. no rattling!
